We can't afford to be down with cold, cough or fever at this time

*We can't afford to be down with cold, cough or fever at this time*

Boost your immunity every day.
How!
Chew raw garlic every night or every other night.

If you have moringa powder, take it every night. Moringa is the King of all Herbs (Oba awon ewe ti olodumare da)

Squeeze lemon inside hot water and drink on empty stomach in the morning. Timing is so important. This will alkalize your body and fight free radicals or bacteria's. Disease cannot stay in any body that has lemon hot water inside them. The secret is, do not eat immediately after doing that. Leave your body like that for 2 hours before eating.

Take 1000 to 1500mg Vitamin C every tablet. Its a super immune booster.
As a woman for your hormones, menopause, or reproductive woman, you need Vitamin E every day. 25,000IU per day. Its a super immune booster.

Cook with ginger, garlic, turmeric every day.
Drink at least 4 sachet waters per day.
Don't forget to pray and leave the rest in Gods hands.

But to take your health for granted is not good!!

WORLD MALARIA DAY 2020

WORLD MALARIA DAY 2020
The world is experiencing a global pandemic - COVID 19.

But we relent in our effort to keep the most vulnerable group especially the under 5 children and pregnant women save from contracting malaria hence we join the whole world to mark World Malaria Day.

The theme of this year is "ZERO MALARIA STARTS WITH ME " a grassroots campaign that aims to empower communities to take ownership of malaria prevention and care..
World Malaria Day is an annual global event to raise awareness and funds for the treatment and prevention of malaria. The day also marks the continuing great achievements in the fight against malaria. Prevention campaign has been reducing the death toll, especially through the use of insecticides and long lasting insecticides nets.
Mosquitoes are the carriers and spreads of malaria. A malaria infection is generally characterized by the following symptoms: fever, chills, headache, nausea and vomiting, muscle pain fatigue. The continued campaign is proving effective and savings lives but there still a long way to go.
At this juncture we want to employ the most High risk groups these include pregnant women, infants, children under five years of age and patients with HIV AIDS, as well as non-immune migrants and travellers to continue to abide by the directives of sleeping inside long lasting insecticides nets.

The best way to free from contracting malaria is prevention and the cheapest prevention is sleeping inside the long lasting insecticide nets. Mosquitoes nets are in all our Health Facilities and it will be given to you on request. The long lasting insecticides nets can be washed with mild soap if dirty and sow when torn.

We appeal to all our pregnant women to register for Ante-natal early, keep their appointments date and uptake the SP as at when due to prevent malaria in pregnancy.
In conclusion, not all fever is malaria, test before taking medication.

Some scientists at the University of Ibadan have recommended a plant called Euphorbia Hirta

Some  scientists at the University of Ibadan have recommended a plant called Euphorbia Hirta as a herbal alternative to mitigating some of the diseases associated with the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to the scientists, some of the diseases, which the plant can cure, include dry cough, respiratory failures and fever, among others.

The scientists, including Profs. Ademola Ladele and Rasheed Awodoyin, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Ibadan on Tuesday that the Euphorbia Hirta was commonly called Asthma plant.

Awodoyin, a Weed Ecologist, said that the plant was known as Asin Uloko in Edo, Nonon Kurciya in Hausa, Chamma Chamma in Kanuri, Endamyel in Fula-Fulfulde (Borno), Ba Ala in Owerri and Akun Esan in Yoruba.

He listed the scientists who worked on the plant to include Prof. Olaniyi Babayemi (Animal Scientist), Prof. Olapeju Aiyelaagbe (Chemist), Dr Ahmed Abu (Animal Scientist), Dr Adeoluwa (Organic Agriculturist), Dr Olajumoke Fayinminnu (Toxicologist) and Dr Funmilayo Adebiyi (Animal Scientist).

Others, the don said, were Dr Idayat Gbadamosi (Ethnobotanist) and Dr J. Badejo (Drug Development Specialist) and Prof. Ademola Ladele (Agricultural Extensionist).
He said that the plant was a herbal alternative to curing dry cough, respiratory failures, fever and some other related symptoms of chronic flu, all of which were associated with COVID-19.

Awodoyin told NAN that the plant, after being boiled, could be taken as tea and could serve as first aid treatment for dry cough, while further complex solutions to the pandemic could still be explored.
He said that the scientists were sparked up by shared information that mucus plug of the airways and nasal chamber, among others were the causes of seizure and death from COVID-19.

“Asthma plant tea softens dry cough, releases the mucus as phlegm. It is a safe herb tea, though not recommended for pregnant women and should be taken for six consecutive days.
“Just get a handful of the plant, steep in boiling water for 15 minutes, drink freely, as the taste is pleasant. I use it at my family level. I don’t even use it for more than three days before getting immediate result,” Awodoyin said.

He emphasised that such medicinal plants had curative actions due to the presence of complex chemical constituents.
According to him, the plant contains triterpenes, phytosterols, tannins, polyphenols, flavonoids, essential oil, alkaloids, saponins, amino acids and minerals, with quercitrin, a flavanoid glycoside, isolated from the herb, showing anti-diarrhea activity.

Also speaking, the leader of the scientists, Prof. Ademola Ladele, said asthma plant could also be used in the treatment of gastrointestinal disorders (diarrhea, dysentery, intestinal parasitosis,) as well as bronchial and respiratory diseases (asthma, bronchitis, hay fever, flu).

“The aqueous extract from the plant exhibits anxiolytic, analgesic, antipyretic and anti-inflammatory activities; the root decoction of the plant are also beneficial for nursing mothers deficient in milk (galactogogue).
“The aqueous extract shows antioxidant effect and a free radical scavenging activity. It is used to lower blood pressure, treat athletes foot, dengue fever and for production of blood platelets.

“It can also be used to relieve anxiety and stress. In South India, it is used as ear drops in the treatment of boils, sore and wounds; a decoction of the leaves induces milk flow and the leaf chewed with palm kernel for restoration of virility.

“It is also effective in treating ulcers, while the plant is also eaten as a vegetable; it is a powerful herb which should be used in moderation.
“In Benin City, the plant is pounded, mixed with palm oil and licked to treat any type of cough,” he said.
Ladele added that although the plant was reported to have anti-fertility activity, report from Guinea revealed that the plant extract had practically no toxicity towards man and guinea pigs.
According to him, using the plant may help COVID-19 patients to breathe with ease and remove the need for a ventilator for mild cases.
“There is no evidence yet that asthma plant can cure Coronavirus, but it can be useful in mitigating some of the symptoms like fever, coughing and respiratory challenges.

“A research group at the University of Ibadan is exploring the benefits of other similar plants for the adequate cure of chronic flu and other respiratory diseases, including COVID-19,” he said.

Taking loans at this crucial time is not wisdom.

Taking loans at this crucial time is not wisdom.
Do we know when this covid19 will end? This is not a one state or one country health crisis but a world health pandemic. No be joke!!!

It will take months for the world economy to bounce back. I'm not an economist. I'm just someone who is assessing this health pandemic my own way.

So, how will you start paying back any loan when businesses are on lockdown?
We have to think of the basic necessities of life before we can service a loan. Things like food, by the way, children are consuming lots of food at home now. The prices of foodstuffs have increased.
Things like shelter. Your landlord will be patient but will not be wait forever. We can still wear our old clothes.

A borrower of any loan from anybody including the bank is a slave or servant to the lender of that loan. The bible said it.

Be wise!!
The banks know what they are doing by daggling loans infront of a hungry person. The banks are vicious. Read your terms n conditions over 5 times. They will come.

Stay off loans.

This is a lesson for us to start what we call *Emergency Funds*. They are monies you keep for these types of emergencies. As long as you are living and alive, emergencies will come. That's why they are emergencies.
Save money.
Stop wasting money on irrelevants.

Life is a lesson. We have to learn from our mistakes and move on.

Save for emergencies.
Stop using all your 10 fingers to eat.
No to Loans.
The Lord will see you through. The young lions do suffer lack but you and your family will be fed by Jesus.
Stay strong.
Stay happy that you are still alive.

Curfew in Ondo State due to Covid19

*Curfew in Ondo State*

Whatever Akeredolu does, some people will be unhappy about it and some people will be cool about it.
No one can satisfy the world.
Ko si eni ti ole te aiye ni orun.
Its better Aketi follow his heart at this time.

Akure was full of many people and shops were open. Cosmetics shop was very open. Alcohol shop was open.
The government said, only supermarkets should open so that, we can go and buy our foodstuffs and go back home.
But, this is not the case in Ondo state.

If Gov Aketi is pushing this curfew, well, how will we buy foodstuffs? That's my concern.

Gov Aketi cannot satisfy anybody at this time. But, his heart is to protect Ondo state people.

Let the Ondo state government provide a telephone hotline.

This corona virus is real. It doesn't know colour, tribe, age, race. Many people have died. #KeepSafe

May we do our best by keeping safe and Let God protect us in the name of Jesus.
